Terry Noble is a counsellor specializing in couples and individual counselling. He maintains a private practice in Peterborough, ON.
He graduated from Trinity College at the University of Toronto with a Master of Divinity degree. He has also taken graduate-level counselling courses at the University of Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier University with a focus on couples counselling. Terry has also studied family therapy at the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center. He is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.
Terry is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) (#001127) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Terry is a Clinical Fellow (#129057) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and holds the designation Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT) granted by the Canadian division of that body. Among his areas of expertise are Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. He is a certified member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy and is the only therapist in the Peterborough area to hold that certification.
Terry completed two year-long counselling internships during his training. The second of these was completed at a local community counselling centre and the focus was on developing his skills as a couples counsellor. Terry opened his private practice in September 2011.
Terry works primarily from a relational psychodynamic orientation, which means he puts a particular importance on understanding and caring for the professional therapeutic relationship he has with his clients.
